Tp-Link TL-SG108 8-Port 10/100/1000Mbps Desktop Switch
The TP-LINK 8 10/100/1000Mbps Desktop Switch TL-SG108 makes the switch to gigabit Ethernet simple. Improve the performance of your network server and backbone connections, or implement gigabit to the desktop. Furthermore, the TL-SG108 has a low power consumption design. The TL-SG108 may save up to 82 percent of power consumption because of its novel energy-efficient technology, making it an environmentally responsible alternative for your home or office network. With eight 10/100/1000Mbps ports, the TL-SG108 dramatically expands your network's capacity, allowing huge file transfers to happen instantly. As a result, power users at home, in the workplace, in a workgroup, or in a creative production setting may now transport huge, bandwidth-intensive files more quickly. Instantly transfer graphics, CGI, CAD, and multimedia files across a network. When upgrading to a gigabit network, you now have the option to go green! This new generation TL-SG108 is equipped with the most cutting-edge energy-saving technologies, allowing you to significantly increase your network capacity while using significantly less power. When a computer or network device is turned off, the corresponding port of a typical switch continues to draw significant power. The TL-SG108 can automatically detect each port's link state and reduce the power consumption of ports that are not in use, saving up to 82 percent of power. Shorter cables should, in theory, require less power due to less power degradation throughout their length; however, most devices use the same amount of power across the cable regardless of length. IGMP Snooping1 optimizes the Multicast data stream, while 802.1p and DSCP QoS1 enable smooth latency-sensitive traffic like voice and video. The automatic features of this gigabit switch make installation a breeze. There is no need to configure anything. Crossover cables are no longer required with Auto MDI/MDIX. Each port's auto-negotiation detects the network device's link speed (either 10, 100, or 1000 Mbps) and automatically adapts for compatibility and best performance.
