TP-Link MC111CS 10/100Mbps WDM Media Converter
A media converter called the TP-Link MC111CS is designed to convert 10/100Base-TX copper media to or from 100BASE-FX fiber. Utilizing WDM technology, the MC111CS uses just one fiber cable for data transmission and reception, helping you save 50% on cabling costs. The MC111CS is compliant with IEEE 802.3u 100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards and is intended for use with single-mode fiber cable and the SC-Type connector. The MC111CS implements the longwave (LX) laser standard at full wire speed. It uses 1310 nm for data reception and 1550 nm for data transmission. The opposite end device must transmit data at 1310nm and receive data at 1550nm in order to work with the MC111CS. The MC112CS is one illustration of a TP-LINK media converter that functions with the MC111CS. Automated MDI/MDI-X for the TX port, automatic duplex mode negotiation, and front panel status LEDs. With single-mode fiber, the MC111CS can communicate over larger fiber optic distances of up to 20 kilometers (12.5 miles). The warranty for the TP-Link MC111CS 10/100Mbps WDM Media Converter is one year.
