TP-Link MC-112 Media Converter
The MC 112 CS is a media converter that converts 100BASE-FX fiber media to 100BASE-TX copper media and vice versa. The MC 112 CS employs WDM technology and only requires a fiber-optic cable to transmit and receive data, saving you half the cost of a single cable. The MC 112 CS has been designed and approved for use with single-mode fiber-optic cable and the SC-plug in accordance with the IEEE 802.3u 10/100 Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards. When a transfer rate, which is the full bandwidth, is used, the MC 112 CS supports the long-wave (LX) Laser Specification. It uses 1310 nm for data transmission and 1550 nm for data reception. As a result, the other end device must function at 1,550 Nm when sending data and 1310 Nm when receiving data when using the MC 112 CS interaction. Another TP-LINK Media Converter that could be used in conjunction with the MC 112 CS is the MC 111 CS. The module's other features include the ability to utilize the device as an independent device (no housing required) or with the TP-LINK 19-inch system housing to use auto-MDI/MDIX for the transmission port, automobile tuning in duplex mode on the transmitter port, and a status LED on the front. The fiber-optic MC 112 CS sends long-distance mode across a single-mode fiber cable up to a distance of 20 kilometers.
