The CRS328-24P-4S+RM is a 28-port switch with 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports and a variety of power output options: 802.3af/at (Type 1 "PoE" / Type 2 "PoE+") includes auto-sensing, passive PoE, low voltage PoE Mode B pins (4,5+) are used for PoE-Out (7,8-). The four SFP+ ports offer connectivity up to 10 Gbps through optical fiber or Ethernet modules (not included). The CRS328-24P-4S+RM is housed in a 1U rackmount case with a built-in 100-240 V AC 500 W power supply. The gadget uses up to 44 watts, leaving 450 watts (3x150 watts per every 8 Ethernet ports) to power your PoE devices. With any power output option, each port can offer up to 30 W of power.
The device offers a "Dual boot" capability that lets you choose between RouterOS and SwOS as an operating system. Use SwOS if you desire a simpler operating system with solely switch-specific capabilities. Leverage RouterOS if you want to be able to use routing and other Layer 3 functionality in your CRS. From RouterOS, SwOS, or the RouterBOOT loader settings, you can choose the desired operating system.
